October 28, 2015 - It was 26 degrees F when I awoke this morning.  A couple of hours later it was clear and calm at the Duck Pond.
October 27, 2015 - This is an actual photograph, not a "photoshop" composite.  Last night I walked home in the near dark below Harry McCormack Hill.  A whitetail doe stood and watched me the entire time.  Finally I was able to line her up with the full moon.  I was amazed this picture turned out.

Today was cloudy, foggy and threatening rain.  This elk herd (right) and the horses (left) are north of Dot and Dash on the PK.  The mouth of the canyon is shrouded with clouds.

October 26, 2015 - This Belted Kingfisher flew around the Duck Pond for a half an hour before he landed in a branch near me.  I watched him dive and catch fish on two different occasions.

October 25, 2015 - Cottonwoods and Indian Rocks from north of the Duck Pond.

October 24, 2015 - Home and the orange aspen from Harry McCormick Hill.

October 22, 2015 - The aspen in the yard along the driveway are gorgeous this time of year.  I couldn't decide which photo I liked best this morning.

So, I picked six.  And yes, these colors are real at about 9am.

October 21, 2015 - The face of the mountain, Chocolate Drop, and the creek; the view from Hiking House at dawn.

October 20, 2015 - The "Grandfathers" and aspen grove out back this morning about 8am.  It looks like we are in for a cool, blustery fall day.

October 19, 2015 - A large herd of elk crossed the creek the other night by my trail camera.  There were so many elk that it took them over 12 minutes to cross.  Here are some of the photos.

October 18, 2015 - A whitetail buck moving into the woods beside the creek just after sunrise.  And one more because I like the color.

Cottonwoods along the creek.

October 17, 2015 - Two pictures of autumn today.  A small buck on Doubledare just after dawn.

And Sandhill Cranes moving south along the face of the mountain.

October 16, 2015 - A herd of elk (upper right) and antelope near the road to town.

October 15, 2015 - The canopy of the largest "Grandfather", perhaps eighty feet above.  I like to imagine the things this old gentleman might have seen.

October 14, 2015 - The changing aspens in the yard and Teller Mesa along the skyline in the distance.

October 13, 2015 - West from the kitchen window.

September 30, 2015 - Bluejays are an extremely rare visitor here.  The last time I saw one was fifteen years ago.  It was a surprise to see him outside the window at the feeder.

September 24, 2015 - It was amazing to see this bobcat hunting along the creek.  This is a beautiful and graceful animal.

September 23, 2015 - Remember what I said about the buzzards?

September 22, 2015 - First day of autumn and I am being watched.
