March 20, 2020 - And it is this time of year as well; each spring hundreds of thousands of Sandhill Cranes return to the Platte River in central Nebraska.  One extremely rare Eurasian Crane from Europe is in the photo in the back row with a black head and white stripe down the back.  2011.  In the fossil record of geologic time the cranes are older than the Platte River.
