September 5, 2021 - This remarkable sequence of 9 photographs taken by the trail camera shows an immature Sharp-shinned Hawk pursuing a young Magpie.  Either the sight or sound of this encounter alerts a nearby group of Magpies who flock to the aid of their brethren, and harass and confound the young hawk until he is driven off; presumably in disgust.  The hawk, sitting on a rock by the creek, is difficult to see in a couple of the photos.
