May 10, 2017 - Mosel Region Germany.
Morning - Burg Eltz, dating from the 11th century.
The Castle in the valley, Rock Garden, Vertical walls, Inside the courtyard, Rockwork and timber, Eltz Castle.
Afternoon May 11th - Mosel River country near Cochem Germany.
German countryside, Castle ruins and vineyards, Mosel River, Beautiful door hinges, A Castle above the Mosel.
May 7, 2017 - Dresden Germany.
Mural wall depicting the history of Dresden from about 1100AD to 1800AD (approximately 200' long & 12' high, painted on 6x6" tiles). European Elk (our Moose); do I interpret the collars as meaning they were kept? Bronze door and Lion. Goths (perhaps); sculptures positioned to appear as though they are supporting the large columns of the building. They are 20' tall, very cool. Greek (?) God and Goddess in a chariot pulled by four leopards, Griffin in background, also very neat. A tree in the stonework and iron city.
May 6, 2017 Morning - Konigsstein Germany.
Rape Seed fields, Hunting blind (a common sight in the country), Konigsstein (King's Cups) is another of the small National Parks in Germany, The Elbe River below the pinnacles, Evidence of an ancient castle at Konigsstein, Elbe River and small towns.
Afternoon May 6th - Dresden Germany. Schloss Eckberg (Schloss translates as castle).
Castle grounds, A vision in the gardens, Castle greenery, Mandarin Duck, Schloss Eckberg.
