November 8, 2019 - Scotland. Day Ten, part one. Family Circle above Loch Tummel. They call this large ring of stones a family circle. The circular stone wall is about 60 feet in diameter and was originally about 4 feet high and 4 feet deep with an entrances oriented east/west at each end. Inside was a large, enclosed, conical timber structure that was home to an extended family group. The circle dates from the Iron Age; about 500 BC.
I still can't believe how thick those walls were.
