August 21, 2016 - Yesterday morning before sunrise we had a big bull moose in the yard.  He literally denuded all the golden willow leaves below ten feet high in the trees.  He would grab a branch with his mouth and strip the leaves down the branch until at the end he had a mouth full of leaves.  He seldom dropped a leaf.  The big fellow was here feeding on the willows for an hour and twenty minutes until the sun made it into the yard.  When he headed over to the new lilac hedge we are trying to grow, I ran him off.  I made these photos after the sun came up.  I will post some more tomorrow.  Moose are amazingly large animals!  This is a good place to live.
